Immanuel’s House

“What does the Lord require of you…?” Micah 6:8

From its beginning, Immanuel’s House, an ecumenical church, has been moved by this passage from the book of Micah.  The ministry team at Immanuel’s House has taken this answer seriously and has sought to live in a spirit of justice, peace, and love to a world in need.  Community care has been the focus of our ministry as we meet the spiritual and physical needs of an impoverished community.  We welcome people of all creeds, cultures, and nationalities to join us in mending brokenness in the community and in the rest of God’s creation, recognizing that we all come broken, but can walk towards healing together.

I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel

I focus on the pain, the only thing that’s real  (Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, 1994).

This is the sound of voices two

The sound of me singing with you

Helping each other to make it through

This is the sound of voices two  (One Voice by The Wailin’ Jennys, 2004).

I wear this crown of thorns, upon my liars chair

Full of broken thoughts, I cannot repair  (Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, 1994).

This is the sound of all of us

Singing with love and the will to trust

Leave the rest behind it will turn to dust

This is the sound of all of us  (One Voice by The Wailin’ Jennys, 2004).

Immanuel’s House is an ecumenical church in action.  We strive to bring justice and peace on earth, responding to God’s call to love our neighbor and care for Creation. We seek to live and learn by justice and peace, acting with kindness and mercy, and walking humbly with our Lord.

We serve individuals and families facing economic, social, and spiritual instability.  We are eager to reach out to people of all creeds, nationalities and cultures. Our desire is to proclaim our faith through action. We offer spiritual care and worship opportunities, but our services will be extended without expectation of participation in said programs.”
